    Fayette County Electro Survey

    December 3, 2009

    Had the unique opportunity to accompany Stephan Magnelia (TPWD Biologist) and his crew Greg Cummings and Darin Gossett) on an Electro-shock Bass survey at Fayette county Reservoir. We put in at 5pm the weather was Breezy and quite nippy thanks again to NOAA San Antonio division for the wrong forecast. The crew and I hit a total of 18 areas on the lake shocking for 5 minutes at each location.

    how to make a dropshot rig.

    I tie my hook about six inches up from the end of my line, and the tie a drop shot weight on the end of the line. There's not mutch to it, but I have had great luck with it.

    With the cold front in and rains north of the lake means fresh water into the lake and lower lake temperature the top water action should be hot and heavy. If you want a charter just let me know I offer a Promise and a deal that no one else will give you.

    water temp 85 visibility 30" topwater action Hot & good fish on StrikeKing zero watermelon red
    got in the water @ 7am winds were around 7mph skys were overcast went to one of my favorite spots started thowing Tiny Torpedos and didn't stop till around lunch then I started throwing Zeros started picking up more fish then the winds picked up so had to move got a few more moved again found a few more 2:30 whitecapping time to go

    Water temp has dropped to the Lower 90s and Is stained, Got on the water at 6:30 the bite was good on worms mostly small fish but they were more aggresive and plentiful than the last two months. I did have a couple of heavies hit but couldnt get them in the boat, bad hook sets. I had to leave at 10am due to storm but will try again next week
